Suggestins on a GOOD Bible Atlas

Doing some deep studies and would like a really good Bible Atlas that has many detailed maps as well as time lines, index, and print large enough for me to read. I don't need pictures and archelogicial studies, just good complete maps. Any suggestions?

I just got my CBD catalog - and they only have three atlases in their catalog. I would check with Christianbook.com - that is the company that has more books than most.

Then and now is a great atlas… and comes with a digital version when you by the book form.

I'll look into the above suggestions, and I found something that may fill my main requirement. Then and Now Bible Maps Insert from the KJV Store. It's supposed to have timelines, overlays, and detailed maps. I'm going to give it a try.

That’s the one I was talking about… it’s fantastic in perspective, and I use it for Sunday school and main service on the big screen in digital format…

The best ones are out of print. I'm away from my notes and the name escapes me but there's one in particular I have been looking for. It's been out of print for a while.
Seems the newer ones change a lot...a certain group of scribes like to change things....

CBD has always had stuff in their warehouse for years. If something is out of print give them a call. They may have one in the warehouse. Years ago they did, two volumes that were out of print. I called, they had three copies in the warehouse. I got what I needed.

Thanks, but I'm looking for an expanded map going as far as the Atlantic and most of Europe as well as traditional Holy Land and Paul's travels. Tarshish, Sheba, and Dedan are points of interest right now in my study, (see Ez 38:13 and most of the chapter).

Remember that we don't know many of the specific locations in the Holy Land and that general area from the Old Testament times. We do know some and research is always going on, so we will likely know more in the years to come.

True ....you'll see some would be scholar claim they have found sodom, gomorrah and the surrounding areas every so often. I doubt that. When our Father decides to stomp on something HE does a fantastic job of it. Tectonic activity, earthquakes and many other things even as simple as plain old erosion makes the landscape change. Some of the larger things stay...I imagine Gibraltar looks similar...Moriah, Zion, Everest...but the smaller geographical features will change with time.

It's not only that, but if you read the boundaries of the tribes, sometimes a tree is mentioned as a corner. Very significant and noticeable at the time, but still there after a couple thousand years?? Streams change courses, even rivers at times. Many of the landmarks mentioned either are no longer there or we have no idea where they were.

Trees make terrible boundaries.......someone from the tribe of Dan needs some firewood and the whole map changes.

I received my Then and Now Bible Atlas in yesterday's mail. It's full of great information, outlines, and overlays, but still falls short of what I'm looking for. It's worth the money and the KJV store got it here super quick.

It's worth it, it's a compact reference that really comes in handy. It doesn't go far enough for what I want though.
