Sound Guy, I'm up in the NE corner of Ohio. I also shoot cast in 8mm. I've had good luck with a range of weights. If at first, you don't succeed. try again using a tuft of dacron poly!

It's real for sure but depends on the bullet weight and powder burn rate you are using. Suggest you read post #2 in https://castboolits.gunloads.com/sho...use-of-fillers
