David has proven his abilities & his knowledge for many, many years. And to quote another well known shooter; "The proof is shown on the firing line & on the target."

Nothing new or surprising. People have known this since the early days of muzzleloaders. It was common practice to rough the bores on muzzleloaders that had become too smooth from patched round balls.

Both Boots Obermeyer and John Krieger have stated the same about the issues of a to smooth barrel over dinner and drinks dinner and drinks after a match. That was in the late 80's or early 90's. Tubb has been advising the same since he started selling his abrasive bullets. I've had dinner and drinks with Tubb at Camp Perry but I don't remember if we discuss bore finish.
