Looking to p/u an 1886 in 38-70. I have done some forming w other rifles I own, making 32 lc which is easy, and 351sl easy too. Still trying to make 225 win. My question anybody have experience w CH dies? They are all I could find for 38-70. I only read one account where 45-90 brass was used. Has anybody heard of, or tried anything else? I currently have some 45-90 for resizing to 40-82. Input from the experts would be greatly appreciated. S.K.
Have CH dies in 303 Epps, 577 Snider, 12.7x44R quality dies no problems.

Dave Davidson (CH4D) made my 10.5x47R dies on the basis of a chamber cast. He also told me that my 10.5x47R chamber was different than his other 23 10.5x47R chambers! Seems gunsmiths back then (late 1800's) made their own chamber reamers.
