    Super Blackhawk Scope Mount ?

I Want to scope my new Super Blackhawk for working up handloads.
    Maybe 2.5X or red dot.
What do you use or have used for a mount?
    No D&T or D&T ?
    Photos are a plus !

+1 The no drill Weig-a-tinny works well and should you decide that you don't want the scope on the revolver it is easily removed without leaving a couple of holes to be plugged.

Either Aimpoint (the best) or Ultradot, if you want a tube-type of red dot sight. Burris Fastfire III is good if you like the reflex type. For a pistol scope the Burris 2.5x is excellent. I use the Aimpoint 9000SC on my bullseye pistols.

I have used both, But not Weigand. Have noticed damage to to surface of the gun on mine and others. Now everyone is D&T GW

Weigand for the win. They're fantastic.
As for the optic, I like red dots on revolvers and Ultradot is the way to go IMO.

Here is what the mount looks like installed. You remove the rear sight and use that hold to attach it. In the front, there's a strap that goes around the ejector housing.

Here is what a Blackhawk looks like with it and the Ultradot.

I like this one, but pretty sure the brass set screws are going to leave marks in the barrel

Weaver made one decades ago, had a yoke that fit around the barrel and attached where the rear sight was located.

I'm curious if a thin sheet of paper between the barrel and mount could be done to avoid marking things up?

I don't think a piece of paper will add any protection but a small piece of shim stock should make it much less likely.
    Good Luck,
    Rick
