    Lyman 50's and 60's?

My earliest memory is of my dad's Lyman 45 lubrisizer, later replaced by a 450. I only barely remember his press, I think it had a round bakelite knob.

Do any of you have images of a lyman press from the late 50's early 60's? Even advertising would be interesting. What did lyman offer for presses in the 50's?

Has Lyman discontinued the Lyman 55 powder measure?

If I search for Lyman vintage gear I get sent directly to ebay.

I believe that the Lyman 55 has been discontinued but luckily there are still many used on the market.

I don't know if the 55 is still current but there are boat loads used around. The 45 sizer became the 450 then the 4500. These are also still common on the used market. I use several 45's. I do not consider the 450 or 4500 to be viable upgrades.

Mark, in a recent post on this subject, I poste a suggestion to seek out a copy of Lyman Centennial Journal, 1878-1978. It has much of what you are looking for and although you may have to find one on the secondary market, they were available up until a couple of years ago directly from Lyman.
