    7.35 Carcano Finally Finished

Finally finish my 7.35 Carcano project. Please note, no changes were done to the original metal on this rifle. The stock was hacked up when I got it.

    Uncle,

Many thanks for the trip down Memory Lane! My first military surplus rifle was a 7.35mm bought at age 13 in 1958 for $13.88 at a surplus store. I still have mine and am about to reload for it. Where do you get your ammo?

I am amazed the rear sight was fixed for a battle rifle. The Finns used many 7.35s in their Winter War with Russia and were developing an adjustable rear sight when they surrendered to Russia on March 13, 1940.

    Nice looking rifle, Enjoy.

    Be well.

Adam, I’m shooting cast bullets with a mould I got from Accurate Moulds. It’s a 140 grain plain base. Still working up loads now.

Where do you get brass? I read one can use resized 6.5 MS brass. I have CH 7.35 dies and shell holder. What is your load receipe?

    Be well.

I got new PPU brass from another user on another forum. Just got through casting a few bullets the other day and haven’t worked a load up yet. I’m using data for a 300 Savage as my starting load. Will post results later.

    Uncle,

Many thanks about the PPU source of 7.35MM brass.
