500 3" Nitro Express to 50-90 Sharps and 50-70 Govt.

According to a conversion chart I have somewhere the 500 NE can be easily formed into 50-90 Sharps or 50-70 Govt by simply trimming back to 2.5", and 1.75".
Has anyone done this? Nothing in my life has EVER been easy, so I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop.
    Thanks.

If you have 500 NE brass, I would hesitate to trim it back for 50-70. The base will be large and the rim will be thin, might work but it is a waste as 50-70 brass is more available than 500 NE. Regarding 50-90, should be a proper option, the base will be a little small but that should not be a problem and 50-90, 50-100, 50-110 brass are just as rare as 500 NE. I would trade you 50-70 for 500 NE one for one and save you the trouble of trimming them and you would have brass with a proper headstamp.

Do you actually have boxer primed 500 NE brass? If it is Berdan primed I will still honor the deal.

Looks like Buffalo Arms has 50-70 and 50-90 brass in stock now.

I'll have to dig it out. I had some berdan, but don't recall if I sold it.
