    Hornady new brass

Just bought 2 packets of new Hornady 218 Bee brass (rare as around here) for $AU160. Very expensive but very welcome. I have a 218 Mashburn Bee and looking to develop a CB load with a 45gn cast boolit.

Obviously Hornady is not a cartridge manufacturer, so who makes brass for them?

Hold Still Varmint; while I plugs Yer!

My guess would be that they don't get their brass from any one source, or country. I say that because some years ago I was scrounging brass at the range and found someone had tossed a bunch of 25 ACP in the brass bin. I saw the Hornady headstamp and the empty boxes, showing that it was most likely once fired, and thought wow, I hit the jackpot. Usually any 25 ACP brass I find is Berdan primed. When I went to resize the first one, it wouldn't go the whole way into the die. Figuring there was some tumbling media stuck in the case, I was really surprised to see two flash holes looking back at me when I looked in.
