    Savage 99T

Looking for information and a source for a factory rear barrel sight for a Savage 99T.

    .

    (Old guys know "stuff" )

All Savage 1899/99 rifles exact year of mfg can be found via the rifle's SN.

Different barrel configs (length/contour/etc) had slightly different rear sights, but the 99T was most likely issued with a semi-buckhorn long leaf rear sight similar to this one:

Here's the Savage 1899/99 SN DOM listing up to 1940:

Rifle fits within the 1939 year range. My understanding is they only made the 99T for a five year period. This rifle has not been D/T, no sling swivels or any other mods that I can see, only missing the rear barrel sight. Original T sight would be great but I haven’t seen one for sale so I would at least like to put a period correct sight on it.

eastbank, I would like to see your sight.
