    us krag question

i am installing a lower forearm extension on a full length krag that had been sporterized. (the forearm has been shortened). i know that the piece is too long. so, i need to know, what is the distance between the end of the bbl. to the front of the forearm wood on a full length krag stock. from pictures it appears to be around 3.5 in. any help??
