    Swage dies storage

Hello, just getting started in swaging and was wondering How does everyone store their dies? Specifically RCE dies.

I too own RCE dies, as for storage, I use fishing tackle box. Lots of compartment to store my dies and appropriate punches next to the dies, that way I don't mistakenly use the wrong punch to the wrong dies, and the compartment fits and organizes everything nicely.

Flambeau Fishing tackle boxes with Z-rust dividers. Cheaper than the HF boxes and on Amazon.

+1 to the harbor freight compartment boxes with the blue seals. They come in varying sizes and are sturdy enough for abunch of dies and punches.

Just purchased a few dozen of these. They are the perfect arrangement for swaging dies, press accessories, shotshell reloading parts, etc. Thanks for the idea. I caught them 1/2 price on Amazon today.

I don’t have that particular brand of fishing tackles but I do have similar ones from Walmart. I got the “water proof” fishing tackles for a good price.

I use Milwaukee packout three drawer toolbox for my RCE dies, may be a little pricy but I like the modular aspect and use them to store jackets, parts etc.

I have RCE equipment and store them in fishing tackle boxes and I put VCI paper in all the compartments to prevent rust.

I asked Richard about storage. Not so much in what but how. He said use them more The swaging lube protects them.

I have used several different kinds of plastic divider boxes over the years, the Flambeau ones are perfect and with rust inhibitors, even better. I bought mostly the 11" ones for reloading and swage dies, but also got 10 14" ones for my Hollywood Gun Shop shotshell dies. They are a perfect fit for the very tall master dies and even powder and shot droppers
