Hodgdon 2024 Annual Manual - Recommended

I picked up this manual at the grocery store for $13 today. It has 3-1/2 pages of load data for the .45 ACP and a lot more. It has wadcutter data for .357 Mag, lead bullet data for .357 Sig (I have not seen that in any other manual), Longshot data for lots of pistols (which is why I bought it), data for .30SC. Lots of Hornady bullets - it has the 140 gr XTP for .357 Mag, which I don’t have in my other manuals. It also has FMJ and lead Hornady bullets, not just XTP. It has rifle data too, but I don’t load for rifles so no comment from me. It has W572, W244 and CFE Pistol.

Powders: Hodgdon, IMR, Winchester, Accurate & Ramshot. I have the Western Manual, but this is even helpful as an addition to that because the load data is organized by bullet whereas the Western Manual is organized by powder per caliber.

One thing for rifles - I noticed loads with AA#2, Titegroup, and Trailboss in the .308.

I consider this a very worthwhile addition to my other load manuals, especially for $13.

Thank for the post. I looked at a copy in Walmart but put it back. I'll have to revisit their magazine rack.

I've got about 4 years in a row, and very little new.... look close, and probably pass.

I buy one every year 'cause what the hell...I like manuals.

Yeah, there's not much changed year to year. Drop a couple old things, add a couple new things. Just how it goes.

It's the same as what's online as far as I can tell, but I like having print manuals.

I buy one every couple of years as I haven't seen much change from year to year.

If the SHTF, print is a good thing.

It’s dramatically easier to use. Seeing multiple bullets & multiple charges on one page is quite helpful. If Hodgdon still had their old website, I wouldn’t have bought this manual. The new site is just terrible, IMHO.

It’ll probably be a decade before I buy an updated version.

So is it worth buying if you have the 2023 version?

Just ordered one on their website. $5.00 seems like a bargain and free shipping.

The $5 manual is the "basic" one. The 2024 Annual manual (with 6000 loads!) Is $15.
Remember: Ammo will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no ammo.

And hodgdon owns most of the powder manufacturers.

I just ordered my copy and that give me a sufficient data base in case the feds, google, et al ever decide censor guns off of the internet.

I agree on the new website it is not user friendly ......load data appears a lot less than the old one

You got that right! I despise the new version.
