The next chance I get, I will go to the range and try some reduced loads and see how they fare in the Remington rifle. Regarding the position sensitive, yes, I understand that. What I have been doing for years is I put cotton in my case to fill up the empty void and that holds the powder at the back at the primer. It works well for me and I’ve been doing it for many years.
And thumbcocker, you are correct. The Tika and the Sako are a one in 11 twist, and the Remington is a one and 10 twist. That could possibly be my problem. Just a little too fast for the faster twist rate in the Remington.

Hey all. I wanted to say thanx for your help on this one. I went out to the range and tried some loads with lowered velocities. Went down from 33 gn of 3031 to 28.8 and 30 gn of 3031. At 100 yards was doing sub MOA and at 200 it was about 1.5 MOA I think I was getting a little sloppy. I’ll tighten that up. She is now shooting those lee 180 gn GC PC BOOLITS JUST FINE!! So I’m done! Next season might need to see if it might take a deer. For now I will use it as a long range hole puncher and make a few liberals here in Canada upset!!
Take care ladies and gents! I’ll try to attach a 4 shot group at 100 yards.

    30-06. IMR 4895 Lyman 311291.

Looks like you found the load. Nice shooting.

A reduced load of IMR 4895 works for me, in 30-06.

BHN 15 sized to .309" all lube groove in case. Use a Lyman M Die to expand case mouth.
