I just picked up a 1 million range 1970 Savage Model 37 Deerslayer shotgun very cheap. It’s functionally fine, but it has seen 50 years of hunting and not a lot of cleaning. While I’m planning on using the shotgun for deer hunting, I was wondering if anybody has a project 12 gage Model 37 barrel I could practice rust bluing on? Exterior can be rough as long as there are no dents and the bore isn’t a complete basket case. Note this would also need to be one that’s not serial numbered, as I understand those were hand fitted and unlikely to be a drop in fit for me.
