I have looked at 20+ reamer prints for cartridges that are normally cast bullet cartridges. Throat angles run from 1/2 deg to 3 deg. The most common is 1 1/2 deg which is also the throat angle widely used for jacketed bullets. Any reason to not do a 1 1/2 degree? Looking specifically at a 38-55 now. Will be shooting heavy for caliber (320-360 gr) 20-1 cast bullets in the 1200 fps range with smokeless powder. Opinions and experiences welcome.
