Handi Rifle 22 Hornet 1:9 Twist

    H&R Handi Rifle 22 Hornet

Like new condition. Blued and synthetic black stock.

    I piece scope base.

Fast 1:9 twist great for heavy for caliber Boolits.

I’ve shot maybe a couple dozen rounds through this. I just have no real practical use for it and think a 22 LR would be a better fit for me.

I would trade towards a CZ 457 pro varmint if you have one

    Price $375 plus shipping.

That’s probably a very fun gun to shoot. I’m intrigued, but can’t do it now. Free bump! Good luck.

There were so many positive posts when I acquired this I figured it would have flown.
Anyone looking for trades? Great little Hornet rifle.

Shot good enough for my eyes. I never put it on paper but plinking in steel it shot fine.

How long is the throat cut? What weight bullets were you shooting?

Not sure. I just shot some 52s I had around and lost interest before I got deep into it.

What’s the barrel length? Muzzle diameter? I don’t see your location. Would you do a face to face sale? Would you let some brass go with it, to get a new shooter to the caliber started?
    Thanks!

    22” barrel. About a .650” diameter.
    I’m in MA.
Sure I would toss in some brass in get you set up. I might have an old set of dies too.

I sure wish we lived closer. I have a nice 20 gauge barrel I’d like to see how it fits on the frame. I purchased a barrel blank for a barrel stub project back in 2022 and it would work out better on an H&R size frame than a Contender size frame.

I don’t remember the nomenclature on H&R frames. Is it an SB4?

I guess most importantly does your Hornet frame put a big dent in the primer like a shotgun, or a small indention like most rifles?
    Thanks

I believe this is a rifle frame. I think the shotgun frame was only used on 357/44/45 etc.
firing pin strike is small like a regular rifle.
