    Texan Reloader

I've found a Texan shotgun reloader available locally for what I think it a fair price.

For less than $300 it comes with 12, 20 and 16 gauge conversions and lots of bushings and parts and such.

I've no experience with these machines, are they solid? Are any parts available?

I'm interested in this since I could consolidate two machines (12 & 20) into one more efficient machine.

And of course it would be an excuse to shop for a 16 gauge

Absolutely. Its worth more than that, especially if it is complete. Be aware no parts or pieces are reliably available any more. And of course a 16ga!

Think long about gauge changes. In most shotshell reloaders there are not that easy. I have never used a Texan so maybe it is different.

    What Model Texan ?
Most will use MEC charge bars and bushings
The ten station progress "M" loader used Texan shot and powder bushing.
I have lots of these for sale

There were a number of different Texan Shotshell loaders, what model do you have? Texan is long gone now and most parts for them have to be sourced used, or made to order.

    Example: http://pdf.textfiles.com/manuals/FIR...texan_m_iv.pdf

Now that's funny skeettx! What timing!
