    powder change in 45/70

I have been using blackhorn 209 powder for some time now with great luck; However; BH209 is getting very hard to get ? What load would you all suggest for a change ?? My BH209 load was / is very accurate out to and beyond 1000 yds. at about 1200 FPS. in my 45/70... Seams I must change; but don't have a clue where to start, with a powder and load for /with a 500 gr bullet ?? Thank You........

60-63 gr of Swiss 1-1/2Fg ought to get you there.

Compress with a ~1/16” wad enough to just engrave the forward band of your boolit with moderate thumb pressure to seat.
