    Loads calling for petals removed

I want to load #4 buck in a 20 g using a load calling for a SP20 with petals removed. Now do I cut down to the end of the slit in the wad or all the way to base of wad?

Leave the shot cup, cut to the end of the slits. Such that the equator of the shot is above the remaining petals. So less than 1/8" for #4 buck (0.24")

Got it,thank you. By cutting petals off I can get 20 pellets of #4 buck in Win 2 3/4 hulls with SP20 wad.
