    NOT for Sale, Need Opinions

This is NOT a for sale ad. PM's in regards to selling any of these items will be ignored.

I am having trouble finding a value for some of this stuff, especially the Lee Ranch Dog TLC311-165-RF. I need to get a value on this whole lot for personal reasons.

Dies are Redding .30-30WIN with a Lee FCD set up. Two of the Hornady gas check boxes are factory sealed less than 100 missing from the open one. Three partial boxes of Sierra ProHunter 150 grain part number 2000 approx 250 bullets, sealed bix of Sierra Power Jacket part number 2010 170 grain bullets, 80 mixed headdstamp brass ready to load, 20 Federal (matching) brass ready to load, 15 nickel previously enjoyed brass, a handful of lubed and GC'd cast bullets of unknown origin, previously mentioned mold I got used, couple dozen PC and GC cast by me bullets from the RD mold, and 75 rounds of PPU .30-30WIN 170 grain FSP.

Please post recent real world experience on buying or selling any of this and/or opinions on value as a lot or per piece.

I use GB for a reference for prices for the commercial stuff.

Almost everything you have there except for the RD mold is currently available as new retail. Go to Midway or elsewhere to look up their new replacement values. It is not legal for you to sell your own cast bullets commercially according to BATF guidelines, so I'd value them at zero, they won't have the value of commercially cast bullets. The cases are used and mismatched, try the auction sites for that, it's not a lot. I think Grafs handles PPU ammo, so you could check their site for that. If you check auctions for values, be sure to check only closed auctions for your values, anything that hasn't already been sold is just an asking price, and those sellers may never sell them at the prices they're asking. Redding has many different lines of reloading dies, make sure you price the exact set you have there. The RD mold is desirable to some people, and others will be indifferent to it. Condition is everything.

I've sold and purchased a fair amount of used "stuff" online. For certain it varies by market, and availability, what one would expect to realize for prices (think basic economics: supply vs. demand), but my general experience is this w/ reloading related items:

Tools: I buy & sell at 50-75% popular site retail, and condition matters A LOT. I may low ball 50% even.

Jacketed bullets: They go all day for about 80%, but not if less than ~ 60% box. Expect discount after that - just think about shipping contribution to overall cost. Why would I buy 20 bullets and pay shipping, unless it came with something else, and wiped out shipping? Why would I want to buy another box after simply getting my speed vs. charge data?

Cast bullets: "20:1" is ABSOLUTELY correct in that it is Illegal to Sell cast bullets, which you have manufactured, for non obsolete cartridges. A quick check of BATFE rules can set you aright as to where the acceptable boundaries are. These rules are searchable on the web.

Ammunition: I don't Sell, and haven't Bought, but I have monitored many hundreds of auctions. Really depends on what you have. Search GB for similar SOLD items, and get a handle on your particulars.

Everything has its caveat of course, and the closer you price an item versus the limit, the longer it sits. I had some things sit for a year on GB when relists were free. There are several aspects to this too.
