    E3 powder?

Anyone using it? Got a couple pounds of it and not sure what to try it in.

I have tried it for target loads in 44 mag and 45 Colt. It's very bulky and with a fast burn rate is similar to Red Dot or 700X. 4.5 to 5.0 grains under a 215 to 250 grain bullet in either cartridge gives good results.

As others have said it's a fast powder, a little quicker than Red Dot and 700x on the burn rate charts. I would treat it as Bullseye for hand gun reloading if I couldn't find specific E3 data.

Yes .... I have been using it in 12 ga and with cast loads in rifle and handgun. I replaced my Red Dot loads with it.
