    Pistol cups versus gas checks

    I have a box of 500 44 "Pistol Cups" from Hornady, they look like a gas check, but they are 1/4" high.. Anybody know how\what to do with them?

    half jackets maybe? made to be swaged with an exposed lead nose...that would be my first guess anyway.
