Pic from a hog I shot with it last year. Just a hi-point with all the extras stripped off and a red dot sight. Did convert it to take 1911 mags so I can pack a spare or 2 and cover both carbine and pistol. Shot in the neck and he just layed down. Shattered the vertebrae and exited.

How did you do the conversion to take Colt mags? I f you want to start another thread that would be great so I don't start a hijack of this one.

I have 9mm 995 carbine, but for that gun there is no really advantage to converting it to another single column mag. I do have a hipoint .45 caliber pistol, but again no real advantage since it uses a 9 round mag already.

In .45 would be nice to use Colt mags just so they match my side arm. There is the advantage.

The obvious answer is that you should be carrying a Hi Point sidearm!!!

I'm curious about the 1911 magazine conversion too.

Good job. I would love to own a HiPoint carbine in all calibers but I live in NYS and Hipoint rifles are on the ban list.

I’ve been thinking of getting a HiPoint carbine in 45 with a threaded barrel . I have a 1911 with a threaded barrel and a 45 suppressor. I’m interested in the mag conversion, if that works I might just jump in and buy one. Good shooting and thanks for the post.

The one gun I truly regret having gotten rid of was a Hi-Point Carbine in 10mm.

It was a cheap, flimsy, ***. But it was very accurate, and the 10mm is nothing to shrug off. If I knew then what I know now, I would have kept that rifle.
Currently looking for a Lyman/Ideal 311419 Mold - PM if you have one you'd like to get rid of!

I've sat a few times in my stand with my Marlin Camp45 with a mag of 230gr. HydraShocks. It would've been plenty.
