    Idaho Fishing

I have always wanted to go to the big Black Powder shoots in Idaho. To make it a perfect trip from North Carolina, I would like to find a place to fish. The problem is the little Lady and I are almost 80 and do not get around well. We would like to lake or streamside fish for Trout or Salmon. It would be nice to be able to stay near Cabin and fish with bait or spinners.
We would probably do "fish and release" and not want to get into big fishing license cost. It does not have to be in Idaho, but somewhere on route. Just a dream, any ideas?

Check with the regulations, I know in our State you will need a license to fish weather you catch and release or not.
