If you ever consider powder coating your bullets I wouldn't suggest a bore riding nose. The powder coat makes the nose diameter a little too large & will have to size the nose & it's a pain. There are several designs with a slow taper & wide meplat, That is what I would suggest. -06

I ordered the NOE clone of the RCBS 35-200FN yesterday . Hoping it will feed in the AR, if not the bolt action will still feed them.

I bet you the lee’s I sent will work. The group by hollowpoint I didn’t send has a wider metplate. What barrel did you buy in .358? Have two AR10 lowers. Both my 336 and 7600 pump chambered in 35 REM feed and cycle flawless. My 7600 chambered in 35 whelen I tried it get it to feed with 2 different barrels with zero luck. Curious how an AR in 358 win will feed cast.

I’m sure they will feed too .
I won’t be able to cast any for a bit but had so many people recommend that profile I decided to order the mold yesterday .

    I appreciate everyone’s input !!

Here’s an old post with the group buy 200 grain hollowpoint.

    https://castboolits.gunloads.com/sho...%92t-feed-cast

I was using the flat style seating plug at the time. I switched over to the tapered plug since. The tapered seating plug dosent flatten down and widen the HP cavity keeping it stream lined. Might have to give it a try again some day in the whelen and seat them to a super short OAL to see if I can get them to feed.

If you look at post nine, you can see the hollowpoint area is tapered in a lot more narrow versus how flat and wide they were sitting in my magazine. Also most looked like 2 different boolits depending on what seater plug is used to seat them. The plastic airsoft BBs added to long OAL and wouldn’t feed either. My 7600 chambered in 35 rem feeds the same boolit flawlessly. Never shot it to test accuracy yet but tried the pre loaded rounds into it to check cycling from the 336 used in my avatar.
