Fiocchi Primers - any experience with them?

A friend and I went to the local gun show this past weekend in Greenville SC.

We both were looking for primers and powder. Lots of tables had a few “bricks” of primers on their table. A lot of them looked like pretty old boxes. Those were all priced over $100 for 1000 primers. I took that as people just trying to take advantage of the component shortage.

We found a table selling Shooters World powder and they were selling Fiocchi small pistol primers. $105 for 1,500 primers. Looked like new production and was well packed. I picked up two boxes.

I have never heard of Fiocchi selling primers. Have any of you used them?

Never tried Fiocchi primers. Have shot alot of Fiocchi ammo though. Works great! Don't see why their primers wouldn't be any good. Give us a report.

Used a bunch of them, especially back in the day when you could get them cheap. Zero problems out of them. Wish I had bought more.

$70 per thousand is what you can get them for here on the left coast, though I’ve heard that availability, while improving, is still spotty (I haven’t been shooting much recently; still using old stock so no recent buys).

They flipped over in my Lee Pro1000 at an abnormal rate causing many primers seated upside down. I was glad to be done with the 1500 I had. Won't be buying more. I never had a problem with this with 4 other brands of primers.

Food is overrated. A nice rifle is way more important.

Working my way through some small rifle primers that I got as the Obama crunch was easing up. They do work seemingly well.

Concur with others that said they are fine primers. I got a bunch of LR and SR at an estate sale 5 or so years ago (I'm still going through them) cheap! There was a bunch of guns and reloading stuff there but I'm guessing since they weren't CCI, Winchester, Fed, etc. they didn't draw the interest. Again, good primers and I'd love to find another score like that.

Remember..your pro 1000 specifies only CCI or REM primers... They put little tags all over it and in the directions...
