FN 68 Ammo in M1 Garand

Anybody ever shoot FN 68 ammo in their garand? Any issues?

If it's got that little NATO 'cross' thing stamped in the case, it should be just fine.

GI .30-06 is made specifically for M1s, and I think is a little bit lower pressure than civilian .30-06.
In the late 40s and into the 50s or so, we gave or sold on the cheap tens of thousands of Garands to a few other countries.
They would have made their ammo to fit it also.

Should be fine. I still have half a "spam can" of SL'42 ammo that I shoot periodically, and yes, I know it is corrosive.

FN would have made that ammo to be used in a variety of outdated, but still serviceable (and in use)military firearms from that era; M-1 Garand, Fn-49, 1917 and 1919 series Machine Guns, and many older bolt action rifles. It should be fine in your M-1 Garand. I would treat it as corrosive, and clean accordingly.

USGI is not made specifically for garands.

It's also has the same pressure specs as commercial ammo.

All FN ammo after December of 1957 is NON-corrosive.
