    gunshow/primers $$

Went to the Jefferson WI gunshow friday. Normal price for primers was $100/1000
One millenial yahoo had his priced at $155/1000. Didn't seem to have many takers!
I hope that will not be the future.

Went to Grafs in St Charles which is under new ownership and called Full Circle Reloading now. Bought 1000 CCI 500 spp for 70 plus tax. Next stop was the gun show across the interstate about a half mile away. 110 for old box primers. I’m talking old white and red box CCI, faded, and no idea how they were stored. Most guns were 20 to 30% more than ARMSLIST. I left minus my $14 admission.

For those who are in NorthEast/Central Ohio, you might want to check out Dawson Enterprises in Massillon. They are showing primers in stock, no LG Rifle though, for $64 a thousand. Also a decent selection of powder. They do not ship & primers are limited to 1 brick.

I just picked a brick of Winchester LR for $75 at my LGS (yeah, I was surprised to see them too!). They seemed to be well stocked with all sizes with the exception of large pistol

Yes, but remember we pay about a 30% exchange rate, plus they charge for converting (included). That is on top of whatever usurious price the retailer decides to charge.

My local hardware store had shelves of primers with no limits. Federal sp was the cheapest at 7.79 per 100. Winchesters sp were 110 per 1000. Only lr primers were 7.62 nato primers at 110 per 1000.

In Australia the new 'normal' price seems to be $190-235/1000 for any primers and powder up to $500 for 2.5kg.

hiram do you remember who had them at that price? I have been buying from Mike (Ammo Man) for years but I didn't see any that cheap last show I was at. Still that's $30 too much.

Yesterday, browsed through a 'big time' gun store with an indoor range. Had driven by several times in the last few months while commuting back and forth on family business but hadn't had time to stop. No large primers - rifle or pistol; CCI Small Rifle: $110/K, CCI Small Pistol: $100/K (plus 8% sales tax on either)...lots of new guns, all (over) priced proportionally. Better deals paying 'asking price' at a gun show. Won't be stopping back any time in forseeable future.

If those are Aus $, that works out to about $145/k for primers and $60/lb in US dollars. Certainly, more than we are paying IF we buy online, buy in bulk, and when there are the rare "sales". But not too far off what people in the US are paying in some regions if they buy small quantities at the LGS.

Local Academy had Win LPP for $6.99 @100, bought all they had. Which was 800 only. Neede a few for restocking purposes.

Bought some CCI from Academy Sport for 7.99 per 100, bought 10 boxes and even delivered it to my Virginia address. Its all gone now except for store pickup. Academy don't gouge their customers. Thumbs up to your store.

I will put in a plug for StockpileCache, online retailer. They have had the Servicios and Aventuras SP primers from Argentina when there were none anywhere else. They have just added Ginex SP which I have tested in several of my guns. I actually prefer the Ginex, since the SyA seems to have a very hard cup and sometimes take two strikes. No HAZMAT fee and they are reasonably priced (whatever that may mean today.)

One reason why I buy online or within the state is guns, ammo, and components are all tax exempt here. It helps.
