Somehow I stumbled into a NOE .258 plain base round flat nose for the garden burrowing pests.
And, a RCBS .258 spire point that someone removed the gas check base from, that I'm thinking could make a really cool WFN hollow point with inserts such as done at hollowpointmold.com.

    I know these exist .
    Lyman

    257312 , 257420 , 266469 .

    Herters
25-80 , mine is closer to 90 gr of oak pointy variety.

    NOE
    260-120 SP , 270-140 and a .268 version . Available in PB , GC , mixed in 2,3,4,5 cavity and HP .

The Lyman 257420 I shot in a 257 and it looks like it's going to be the bullet I use in Dad's 25-06' . I think the 312 is what the Herters 25-80 is . The 120 should be great in Dad's 25 but I just can't find the happy place .

The 27-140 drops .272 which works out as that's what I needed for the 6.5×50 Japanese. The 266469 also works well paper patched there sized .265 . The 270-140 was too nose fat for my SIL 264 WM but the 260-120 patched perfectly for it .

I tried a few of the 25-80s in Dad's 25 . It was just hohum but I have no idea what the alloy is and only loaded about 20 for fouling really I didn't chase loads or anything.
In the time of darkest defeat, our victory may be nearest. Wm. McKinley.

I was young and stupid then I'm older now. Me 1992 .

Without trial we cannot learn and grow . It is through our stuggles that we become stronger .
Brother I'm going to be Pythagerus , DiVinci , and Atlas all rolled into one soon .
