get the stuff you need to make your own. I can make 100 primers for about 20 cents. Go to ardvark reloading on the e web and check it out. I did and make my own primers and caps for my black powder guns. Center fire primers are non corrosive. Its not hard and it works.

Thanks for this info .... I think will give it a try! Tired of paying $99 per 1000 and happy to get them.

The going rate for my LGS is 90 (Rem)- 100 (CCi) per k, with a 5 k limit on the Rem. Spotted some Bosnian Primers at a gun show, 11 per hundred.

I've been seeing more primers around at the LGS that I frequent. Not cheap but coming down. avg price is around $90 a brick up to about $120 a brick depending on the maker.
I was luck enough to score 3 bricks of Wolf large pistol primers for free from a friend exiting the reloading game..
what seems to be in short supply right now around here is large rifle primers.

Just some thoughts and information on testing and home production some of us are doing to get beyond the Large Rifle Primer (and others including 10/11/musket primer caps) limitations we are seeing.

I’ve had pretty good luck buying at local auctions.
Picked up 2K Winchester LR primers a couple months ago for $80/K including buyer’s premium and tax.
No shipping or hazmat since I picked them up.
Still, a bit pricey but far less than what people want in private sales.

lgs has a good supply at the moment cci small pistol 75.00 along with some other make.
