    Cheddite Clerinox 209 primers?

Putting together the plan for a CVA Optima. Did search, didn't see much. Presume for now Triple 7 or White Hots, though I will try BH 209 at least once when it becomes available. In the absence of any other 209 primers, I only see the Cheddites available regularly. Are they any good for this purpose, MZ?

I don't know. I bought 10k cheddite for shotgun reloading and am saving my Win 209 for muzzleloaders.

I would not hesitate to use cheddites if that was what I had.

Back when the last ammo & components shortage was looming on the horizon I managed to get a last minute order into BPI for shotgun components. The only primers they had at the time were Cheddite, and I loaded up on them and also Cheddite hulls. I can recommend both as being the equivalent of US-made products.

I will second the above. Cheddite is all I ever use for anything needing a 209.

As I researched primers awhile back, as I ended up with a bunch of Cheddites. The only thing was their size once you use the Cheddites you will have trouble with the other primers not fitting as they are a different size. Never heard any thing else negative.

I use Cheddites in both my Optima and Accura. They perform very well with my black powder loads. I don't use pellets.
