244AI chambering in 243 short chambered barrel?

Has anybody chambered a short chambered 243 barrel to 244AI?
My preliminary layout says the reamer will clean up short 243 chamber.
Like to know this answer, or thoughts, before putting barrel in action.
Not a game changer either way, but avoiding unnecessary use of time at my age.
    thanks

I converted a Ruger 6mm/ 244 Remington to an 244 AI back in the '80s.
It was way better than the original chambering.
One thing with the 243 barrel is the rifling twist.
Make sure it matches the weight of the bullets you intend on shooting.
My 244 worked good for heavy bullets.
My Ruger .243 liked lighter bullets.

The shoulder diameter on a 243 is pretty large compared to the case body on a 6mm/244 Remington. I don't know the case dimensions on the AI improved case, but if it will clean up it's probably going to be close.

    If I remember correctly.
The .244 AI only had the angle of the shoulder was increased to up the capacity of the casing.
I think I was able to fire standard cartridges in that chamber , and it would fire form the casing to the new dementions.
