    New Sizing Die From Magma

Well I found I was in need of a new sizing die in .310 due to my new to me Win 94 wanted smaller boolits than my Marlin 336. Go figure. Ordered one from Magma, very nice gentleman handled my order. $55 for the die. Ok. Get the charge on my card, it’s $17 more for shipping. Very fast shipping I’ll add, it was here 36 hours later, but a bit expensive. I’d have been fine with first class mailing. Then, the first boolit comes out .3075. I get it, mistakes happen. However, there was a sized boolit in the die when I got it. So they missed checking the die and they missed checking the boolit too.

Check those dies when you get them, gents. I spent the next two hours coating 10 boolits with JB bore paste and shoving them through the die to get it to throw a .310 sized boolit.

Any special reason you didn't have them send you the correct die? GW

2 hours of my time vs maybe a week of waiting. My off days are weird working in restaurants and it just seemed easier this way so I can accomplish my reloading goals to coincide with off day testing at the range.

Is Magma our only choice now without Lathesmith?

I can send you some blank dies. It has the external dimensions cut already with a .188 hole. I need a .503 sizing die made out of it.
