    Two ball .410 load

This is something I’ve been messing around with.
    Cheddite 2-1/2” primed hull
    Claybuster wad
    .380” lead ball(2)
    1/2” BPI fiber wad
    16grs of H110
The balls seated into the wad produce small bulges in the case. Best used in single shot or double barrel .410s. Common .375” balls might
Be better. I fill the remainder of the hull below the crimp with candle wax.

At 25 yards offhand, the first two made one hole. The second two stayed close together.
All hit to the left of center from my Yildiz.
I’ll try them in my Topper.
They seem to have enough steam to kill an archery range deer but that’s for another discussion.

Keep this recipe...Yildez fan here also
“You should tell someone what you know. There should be a history, so that men can learn from it.

He smiled. “Men do not learn from history. Each generation believes itself brighter than the last, each believes it can survive the mistakes of the older ones. Each discovers each old thing and they throw up their hands and say ‘See! Look what I have found! Look upon what I know!’ And each believes it is something new.

I would load two balls, spew to spew, in my .45 long colt, shot good, always amazed people, would fire 6 shots and there would be 12 holes in the target.

I load two .395 balls in my 410, they will go through the full choke on my NEA with thumb pressure. My charge is 15 grs of H110 and some cards and cork wads to separate the balls. Mine does minute of your cap at 20 something yds. I feel about the same as you, archery range deer in a survival situation. I bought some of those hour glass shaped wads but haven't had a chance to try them. I like messing with a 410, you can really get out in the weeds.

My NEA shot really high so I bent the barrel to correct it, set your target on the bead and it hits it.

Of the 12 seasons of Texas we’re in Hells Front Porch and that means sitting on the front porch with an accurate air rifle or 22 and shooting grasshoppers.

That would make a nice "nightstand" gun load if your home defense weapon was a .410 Shotgun or revolver ... I like the idea of a double ball load in 410 .

They shoot very low from the Topper. Only three of four hit the cardboard at 25 yards.
I want to borrow my sons .410 Rossi to try.
It has no choke, whereas the Yildiz has fixed Modified and the Topper is Full choke.

you can do a 3or5 ball 000 buck just as easy.....just triple check your payload weight..... I simply swapped the birdshot out for buckshot balls all in a row..same claybuster wads as shown...go well through full choked bakail single.
better numbers than many commercial solid loads.

My neighbor when we were kids called this .410 load "punkin balls." I believe his were factory loads in the1950s.

I use BX410 wads from https://www.ballisticproducts.com for 000 (.036) loads and don't have any bulges. I'm looking for a 5 pellet 000 load to match the Remington Ultimate Defense load.

I shortened the Yildiz barrel to 19” (River Rat!)and tried two shots with 3 balls in the 3” Cheddite hulls.
I was aiming at the center of the box(targdot is covering earlier rifle shots) at 15 yards.
We have an active armadillo that might become a Guinea pig….

That 3 ball load should roll up an armadillo pretty well.

Anyone have an idea how a two or three ball load would work in a Rossi Circuit Judge? GF
