500 grain Boolit for Springfield Trapdoor?

Does anyone here cast a 500 grain Boolit for Springfield Trapdoor, and if so, what mould are you using? Looking for best options for 45-70.

Original or replica? Originals tend to have oversize bores sometimes significantly. I've seen them as large as .466"

It’s a original, but the bore is good. I don’t remember what it slugged too, as that was a few years ago, but I think it was at or close to .459”.

Was it 457125? I think. Anyway, the Ideal 500gr that looks like the original government 500 grain bullet. Works well in my original.

I’ll be checking that one out too. I’d like one that’s close to the original if possible. I know the Lee Mould just isn’t the right shape from the original.

Baco JIM459510C 510gr creedmoor. They also make a couple govt. bullet options that will be great for a trapdoor. I've just been trying to cut down on the amount of different bullets I need and use my match bullet out of the trapdoor now.

I have a rapine 500 and a brooks that I designed for my TD. Rapine shoots well, Brooks shoots better.

I have that Lee one as well, it doesn't shoot very well. Not recommended.

I use the 457125 Lyman mold for my 45_70 500 grain. I think it's the best 500 grain boolit.
