    Stevens Model 334 rifle

It looks like Savage is bringing Turkish made centerfire rifles to the market.
An interesting bolt rifle that comes in .243, 6.5 Creedmore, and .308.
    Synthetic OR WALNUT stock.
I’d like to examine one- I’ve been impressed by the guns that I have from Turkey.

Captive imports can be really good but there is a definite risk to them. Remington used to sell Zastava rifles under their own name. The guns were (and are) excellent, but that incarnation of Remington bit the dust and so there is no support for them. Far as I know Zastava USA will not service them, at least not under warranty. Savage/Stevens could drop the 334 next year, and then pretend the rifles never existed. Unlike super common firearms (Winchester 94, Marlin 60, Glocks, etc.) there aren't going to be oodles of used and new parts out there for either the Zastava or new Stevens 334.
    Currently casting and loading: .32 Auto, .380 Auto, .38 Special, 9X19, .357 Magnum, .257 Roberts, 6.5 Creedmoor, .30 WCF, .308 WCF, .45-70.

Another interesting rifle from Savage is a sorta copy on the Marlin 70 P- “Papoose” back pack takedown .22…..
The Savage comes in right or left hand models.
Old Southpaw Cuz might be getting one from me.
