A tool I suspect even Lee didn't know they made

This item is for sale on the site we all love to hate.

My favorite part of the description "and the crimper is used to apply a crimp around the bullet's base".

Lee 2 Cavity Bullet Mold Crimper #90336

The Lee 2 Cavity Bullet Mold Crimper #90336 is designed to crimp bullets into the cartridge cases after they have been loaded with gunpowder and a projectile. It is a two-cavity tool that allows you to produce two bullets at a time.

To use the Lee 2 Cavity Bullet Mold Crimper, you would typically melt lead or another suitable alloy and pour it into the mold cavities. Once the lead solidifies, you would open the mold and remove the newly formed bullets. These bullets would then be placed in the cartridge cases, and the crimper is used to apply a crimp around the bullet's base, securing it in place within the case.

    Am I missing something here?

I see a double cavity bullet mold 429-214-SWC under that number - 90336. I have that bullet in a single cavity, shoots fine in my Bulldog. Did NOT see what you are talking about.

will see what kind of response I get

as you can tell it's hot in Texas and I'm bored

I wouldnt laugh ......years ago a new dealer hit the used tractor sales with ridiculous stories about each tractor .....my boss laughed ,until the silly stories sold a whole lot more tractors than he did ........people buy the story ,not the tractor.

Once saw an add for a Lee extra large 9 mm Luger mold very rare antique on flee bay( yes a typed it as 2 words on purpose) it was a 9x18 Makarov mold! One of many reasons I don’t buy off that site!

Something of greater value than it has probably makes it more sought after. Hey -- that car driven by the little old lady who just went to and fro church on Sundays with it surely gets more interest and dollars than a descript without it. I doooo get a chuckle when I see a very, common item on Ebay listed as rare/vintage when *I* know it's not. It brings back to my mind a late 1960's happening, where my 1st wife and I saw some small kerosene lanterns displayed in a W T Grants store at $1.98 each, and we debated purchasing a couple -- primarily for decorative purpose -- electing to "think on it". Two days later we went to an auction where the auctioneer held up one of these exact same lanterns with comments on how it was a rare, perfectly defined miniaturization, starting bidding at ten dollars. Someone shouted, "five!" and the auction went on for this $1.98 item to be sold for $12.50!

You know..i have seen older 22lr multi tools that were a mold and crimper..but this obviously ain't it.

I also know that lee re uses numbers. I have 2 molds with lee numbers that absolutely are not what those numbers say they are..including the old lee stuff.
