WTB a reasonably priced used Arbor press.

I am looking for a used arbor press, old cast iron or new aluminum, only loading one caliber with Wilson dies, a benchrest rifle. All replies appreciated.

    Friend Kiger,
I have and use two, one I made myself out of cold rolled steel in a machine shop course and the other a 1/4 ton cast iron unit. From the sound of your request I would suggest going to Harbor freight or someplace similar and buying on of their cast ones for $25 or so. Even if I gave you mine, it would cost that to ship it to you!

Harbor freight or similar if you want cheapest price.

Shooters corner in Lake Hopatcong, NJ usually has used ones for sale.

I agree with others. Shipping costs would negate any savings from buying used. I have one from Harbor Freight and it does all I need it to do.

Today, the chinese arbor press from HF goes for $65...minus whatever sale you can find, and their sales aren't what they use to be.

I have a Decades old, USA made, Dake No. 001 you can have for $100, it needs to be cleaned up.
I will split shipping with you, it should fit in a flat rate box with handle removed.
I don't see any wear on the Ram (teeth/gears or corners) and the Ram fit seems perfect.
The clearance is 5.0" in the anvil area...Is that enough for reloading dies?
It doesn't come with a anvil, it has some sort of punch and die fitted to it (1.5" punch), Probably for punching a hole in a gasket. I always thought about cleaning it up and try to punch muzzle loader patches with it. I can email better photos.

years ago, I got two of these, the one I cleaned up for use with a FCIII gas check die set, looks and functions like new, I haven't done anything with this one yet. It does have some rust from sitting in a unheated shed for many years.

They still make the Dake presses in MI. one like this goes for about $600 new. I've seen them used on ebay for around $250.

My guess is that he is looking for a smaller press like a k&m.
There is a Harrell on ebay for $90 and would be perfect.
