I have an early Dixie souther poor boy flinter I swapped out the original barrel few years back with a 7/8 green mtn. Barrel it’s a 36” not the original 42 “ length bore is good not brand new but not pitted either shoots and cleans up just fine . Lock is good and has always sparked great frizzen does have some wear but still sparks great it’s not case hardened like most production guns . All the metal has been given a patina/worn look good solid rifle just don’t shoot the ole gal anymore.
