Where to shop for Muzzleloading supplies...

I have been in and out of the muzzleloading world many times in my life. Usually when I am back in I am looking for stuff and have forgot where I got it that last time (7+ years ago!) and... sources go in and out of business.

    I am back in.

Where is the best place(s) currently to get muzzleloading supplies?

Just bought some Treso nipples from ThePossibleShop just because they came up on an internet search. Also got some lead balls from Dixie Gun Works. Track of the Wolf did not look like they had anything (at least I did not spend much time there).

Track of the Wolf is one vendor I use, depending on what I need
The Muzzleloading Forum is also a good source of information

I find lots of stuff at TOW.
I pick up used stuff off the internet under Muzzleloading.
What kind of supplies are you trying to find ?
I too got back into Muzzleloaders about 8 years ago.
But I started back in the '70s

Another vote for Track of the Wolf......if they ain't got it, you probably don't need it.

Each discovers each old thing and they throw up their hands and say ‘See! Look what I have found! Look upon what I know!’ And each believes it is something new.

Looking for some Treso 12x28 nipples that have a cone length of .284 for my Uberti 1862 .36 Colt Pocket revolver.

The PossibleShop lists them but they are out of stock. I picked up some shorter .266 Treso nipples from them but I am getting a lot of cap jams. I'm guessing they are too short.

TOW has the nipples with a cone length of .300 that is made for your pistols.
Are you basing the cone length on the measurements of your guns nipples ?
Your used nipples might just be hammered down a little bit and measure up a little shorter cone length.
The nipples on my rifles beat down a little when I use them for a while.
If the thread on the new nipples that they have is the same length.
You can machine those nipples to the cone length you want with a small file and an electric drill.
They do also have in stock the nipples for the pocket model with a cone length of .285.
Look thru all four pages in their nipple section.
I think they are on page 2

I have been shopping at the Log Cabin Shop in Lodi Ohio, for over 1/2 century. The Kindig are great folks to deal with.

There is no problem so great, that it cannot be solved by the proper application of high explosives.

Dittos for the Log Cabin Shop in Lodi, Ohio. I’d also recommend the Kenokee Trading Post near Port Huron in St Clair County Michigan. Good folks both places, though the LCS has a better online presence.

There used to be an oujtfit called Mountain States Muzzleloaders. I bought some equipment, supplies off them and very good quality stuff. That was many moons ago though and I don't know whether they are in business still. james
