Sounds good to me Rich. I'll hold on to it for you. I actually sold enough of my other stuff to pay for my new crossbow already so this will be funding another toy that I'll have to wait 8 to 10 months to get approved for.

Many years ago I was at the SHOT Show and Savage's Chief engineer waves me over and takes this gigantic bolt out of his briefcase. I grab it and I am thinking 50 BMG. He says "no", 12 gauge bolt action rifle. Fully rifled and a three shot magazine like this one only slightly overgrown. A month later one arrives on my door step. I bought a Lyman Sabot-Shocker wasp waisted hollow base mold, and began working loads up. Savage had worked with Lyman to create a slug that weighed (20:1 alloy) an ounce and an eighth. I could use trap gun starting loads. Before my shoulder said "STOP THAT RIGHT NOW!" I had reached 1950fps and three in an even inch. We are not far off the Snake River, deer hunts restricted to Muzzleloaders or Slugs. They had not heard about the Savage rifled barrel. I killed four whitetail deer in four years before they found out.
I regret selling that slug rifle, and have looked for a 20 gauge since. Happy Day!
