I love to chase down history here in our part of Nevada and was out walking down what I deduced was an original road back in the day when they still used wagons and old model T's ...
The area long abandoned with the existing roads and highways .
I came upon this piece of sheet lead of all things ..as I am always looking for an area to use my metal detector .
What in particular it was used for is any ones guess but it came home with me for my stash to melt down.
    Made my day.
It is much easier to fool people ,
than to convince them they have been fooled !

If you can read this , thank a teacher ...
If you can read this in English , .. thank a Vet !

Shower bottoms were lined with lead along with areas of flashing and around concrete pylons in wet areas. Found them like that so I know at least those three areas.

If it was found near where old houses were, it's probably from a shower pan.
Another use of Lead sheet was on some types of roofing.

When that old church in France burned down, several tons of Lead (sheet) melted from the roofing.

OK People. Enough of this idle chit-chat.

Looks like a good couple days of muzzleloader shooting to me.
A vote for anyone other then the conservative candidates is a vote for the liberal candidates.
