what kind of lube are you using? are you powder coating. a Glock? I'm guessing 9mm or 40 s&w. I'm no expert and dont powder coat but I do believe some folks that powder coat have reported using pure lead powder coated you might not have any problem with your Glock.. others have given suggestions to harden pure lead, add monotype or foundry type or something like rotometals hardball.
here is an article you might find as a good help

A 5 pound brick of superhard will go a long way in making casting alloy. It's 70% lead and 30% antimony, so to get a mixture that's 3% antimony you can cut it with 50 pounds of lead. You'll need some tin as well. The antimony will have a hardening effect on your alloy, but you'll want bullets that are tough, and will fill out the mold cavities, and tin adds these qualities. There are lots of sources for tin: thrift store pewter, linotype, plus rotometals sells tin. I like to use left over & surplus lead free solder as a source of tin because it usually has a trace of copper in it that also contributed toughness to the bullet alloy. If you mix together 50 pounds of lead, 5 pounds of superhard, and a 1 pound roll of lead free solder you'll be able to cast up 56 pounds of ingots of some pretty decent casting alloy that can be either air cooled or water quenched. Even that alloy can be cut with a little more pure lead to make softer pistol bullets if you want.

Great forum. You'll love it and you'll learn a lot.

When I use COWW, I put 9 lbs in a 10 lb pot along with a pound of 50/50 solder and it works just fine for pistol.

Welcome from the other side of the state.

Welcome to the easy going cast bullet forum.
The Lyman book has the formulas for #2 lead alloy, it woks OK for handgun bullet alloy. The right lubes for the right velocity are the co-secret, once you get the barrels slugged.
