Today marks my 17th Anniversary on Castboolits.

Kind of hard to believe it's been that long. When I joined, I only thought I knew about casting boolits. I discovered I knew some, but wasn't anywhere near the endless lessons to be learned here.

After some reading, I found myself in the chatroom. Boy what a crew! 45nut, rugerman1, waksupi, and a few others that slip my mind at the moment, but that was 17 years ago! I have to say, there isn't a gun related site on the internet with a finer bunch of guy's & gal's to be associated with.

May God bless each of you in the new year.

Think of all the time we've wasted in chat! Well, not wasted, always educational. I'm not sure how long I've been here, but I think I'm member #7.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

How does one tell what number member they are? I am not anywhere near the top, just curious as to how you know that.

    ddeck22,
Not sure how you would go about it with a smart phone, but if you're on a PC, just hover the mouse above your name and look down at the info displayed in the lower left hand corner of your screen. It should say:
    https://castboolits.gunloads.com/mem...?59408-ddeck22
    You are number 59408...

And Murph, I'm not far behind you. My 17th anniversary is coming up in May.

My profile says that I joined in 2007 but I can’t remember how I found out about the site!
It has truly been an educational and expensive journey!
I thankfully have been able to acquire items that I lost in Hurricane Katrina and learned more about swaging and powder coating!

I think if you learned about just one thing, like powder coating. here that new found knowledge was well worth the exorbitant price of admission.

    You are #206.
This reminds me of the status of having a low license plate number here in NH.
    How low can you go?

My 17th is in May. How do I find out my number? I've learned a lot here. I usually come here for advice/info for all things gun/shooting. Have always found someone that knows the answers to my questions. Great bunch of guys. I've been here long enough and learned enough that I have occasionally been of help too! (I hope)

You are #1576. If you hover over your name in a message, you will see a bunch of numbers and letters in the lower left hand corner of your screen. That number is your member number.
