We rescued a 10 yo chihuahua/minpin last summer
had to housebreak him, was easy enough,
now in the pits of winter we keep the house 75F
and dress in layers, Chico has a sweater.
Nine pound dog will roll up in his heating pad
comes to find us when it shuts off.
Two more weeks of winter is going to make a fine power bill.

    Spring is sixty-four days away.

Spring is coming, and summer will follow.

Everything in nature has a reason

Everything in nature has a reason
    Benefiting all the human race
And no matter how adverse a season
It should be with gratitude embraced

There are days that I can still remember
And I know that time will not erase
Memories of when we were together
Those should be with gratitude embraced

Those should be with gratitude embraced

Everything in nature has a reason
"Good" and "bad" do always interlace
    Faithfulness and then heart-breaking treason
Should all be with gratitude embraced

And no matter what may come tomorrow
Even if it's loneliness you face
Boundless joys as well as bitter sorrows
Should all be with gratitude embraced

Should all be with gratitude embraced

Everything in nature has a reason
We can't stop the rapid race of time
As you welcome every autumn season
Do embrace the autumn of your life

Do embrace the autumn of your life

The moose tick that decimates northern moose populations thrive in severe cold
Depends on your local species of tick.
Go now and pour yourself a hot one...

3 more inches of snow, yay.... NOT! It was supposed to be a dry winter here due to La Nina... right now at above average snowfall! I am already running out of space to stack it in the yard.

I lived in AK for 32 years and shot and helped skin around 20 moose and never saw a single tick.

I just returned from a round trip ( road trip) to Saratoga Springs Utah from Eureka MT. and ran into some nasty road conditions. snow, fog, rain and freezing rain. I wouldn't have gone except the wife wanted to visit the grandkids.

15 inches of snow in the forecast for tomorrow/Tuesday... but that snow band can shift so to soon to tell... Welcome to winter in MN!
