    Grape-Nuts

I remember having these in the 60's growing up. They were never my favorite, but Mom always had a box of them next to the corn flakes in the pantry. I can't remember the last time I seen any in the stores, and figured they were no longer made. A couple days ago I was in the grocery store and they had quite a few boxes on the shelf. A box came home with me. They are just like I remember them, only over the past 50 years my tastes have changed and I found them a nice change.

Have they always been available, or is this a new rehash of an old discontinued product? Perhaps a regional thing? I am spending the winter in the south west, first time in 64 years I haven't had to shovel snow by this time of year.

Grape-Nuts cereal is officially back shipping at full capacity to stores nationwide, bringing the Great Grape-Nuts Shortage of 2021 to an end. Fans should be able to find Grape-Nuts in stores now or soon, but exact timing of on-shelf availability may vary by retailer.

I like them, have not had any in years though. I like to warm the milk and let them soak a bit, really good.

Years ago I had heard that changed to make them easier to chew.

Haven't had them in a long time, more of a shredded wheat guy.

Yeah, you can mix them in with your shredded wheat so it's like eating hay with little rocks in it.

Many years ago i did eat them. I skip breakfast these days. Thinking back on them, they remind of animal or fish feed.

They have always been in production but with 6 million flavors/ brands of other cereal on the market they sometimes get crowded off the shelf .
I always liked them ... Taste like Wild Hickory Nuts ...
    Who remembers Euell Gibson ?

Let them soak in the milk a few minutes ... makes them easier to eat .

My Mom had a baking recipe for Grape-Nut Banana Crunch Muffins that was very good and I enjoyed them ... I have the recipe if anyone wants it ...
