    Queston about Martini Cadet Sight

I found this sight in my dad's reloading trunk. I Googled the patent number and found that it is from a Martini Cadet rifle.
Interesting because I remember him owning a Cadet. The base of the sight has a machined radius apparently to fit on the receiver or barrel.
My question is about the longitudinal convex radius along the length of the sight. ....Is this normal?
The sight is a bit knackered up, so I was wonder if it was bent during removal.
    Thanks, Dave

    Nope they are usually straight.
There is two small screws that hold them to the barrel , plus the beautifully executed soldering job.
They do not come off easily without the screws first being taken out.
And the rest taken off so the springs don’t detemper.
After the leaf spring that holds the sight down is wedged back and out.
There is another small screw under that.
Looks like it was prised off with a screw driver.

It must have been fun , cos to bend it like that would take a bit of dedicated effort.

    Yup, should be straight.
Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway!
