I had good results with WSF in the 38 , no longer made!
Yep, WSF is a good mid-level powder, meters better than Herco which is almost a perfect match in burning rate and both are just a bit slower than old Unique. For quite a while in the early stages of the present component draught, WSF was available in 1 lb canisters when all of my favorites: (Unique, Bullseye, 2400 & 231) were missing from local dealer shelves. As a result I have 8-10 lbs of of it rat-holed in my powder room.
I've had good luck in .40 S&W, .357, .41 & 44 Magnums, & .45 Colt with it and metering through my Dillon 550B measures couldn't be smoother. For data try some of the Winchester powder manuals from the 90's...they're still available in PDF form on-line.
