    WTB 38 caliber Mould

Looking for a 375166 Lyman or same as in another makers offering. Single cavity would be OK but prefer dual cavity.

Sparky: I have a 357446, double Lyman mold, if you can use it. $30. I'm located just 16 miles north of you.

Actually I'm looking for a mould for my 38-55 rifle; i.e. 38 caliber. the 357446 is for a 35 caliber I believe. Thanks anyway and good to hear from you again.

I have a Lyman 375449 (264 gr), 2-cavity, and an RCBS 37-250-FN, 2-cavity. Neither of these is as heavy as a 375166 (330 gr, I understand), but there you go.

    Please PM if interested. Thanks!

You're obviously not selling yours, so I checked with Accurate and their double cavity in Brass is $121. Going to think on that one for a bit.

Originals sell for far more than that as a bit of perspective. I paid a 100 bucks for mine 10 years ago and was just happy to find it.

Buffalo arms also makes a copy and they are top notch. here is a picture of it. They say out of stock but that's because they are special order.

If somebody offered me 250 bucks for mine I would not sell it

I like the looks of the buffaloarms mould. .377 is the size I'm looking for. Thanks.

The molds are similar in size to Brooks and Jones.
What rifke are you going to shoot it in?

Accurate will cut any dimension on a design for no extra charge btw.

I sent my Uberti Hi Wall to JES for a re-bore from a 30-30 to a 38-55. Anxious to be getting it back. Jesse said the bullet size I should cast should be .377, hence the dimension I quoted.

SAECO made their #571 300 gr traditional mold which is in the category if you can find one. It is a tapered mold so not sure it that's an issue or a plus with respect to your chamber. I happened to find an R HOCH 381305 last week for my Rigby Ballard so the stuff is out there Also Lyman's 378674 is a 335 gr mold that you might run across and might work for you.

I once bought an original 375166 mold but when it arrived I found that Bubba had cut it back to the standard 255 gr length... I sent it back.
Good luck to you on your quest!

I may have a spare #571 but as I remember it was not tapered I would have to check.
